Burnt Food
My friend Nomi and I cooked every recipe in this book, but everything came out burned. Not sure what went wrong.

Feast of Azeroth, in our hands.
All my life in Azeroth, Ive eaten many virtual meals. Now ive brought it home, the meals are easily explained, and has a listing for its specific dietary needs people. Gluten free, vegetarian. This cookbook is a must for the diehard WoW fans and Chefs alike. Now order, and go fourth, becoming a Master Chef. You can't be any worse than Nomi.

Absolutely amazing! Tasted so good and my son loved it
I cooked the Buzzard Bites tonight for my Husband, Son and I. Absolutely amazing! Tasted so good and my son loved it! My husband loved it and i deff loved it :) I will say, It is listed as a "side" and it tells you it would pair well with a Cheesy Pasta, DEFF make the pasta, By themselves they are tasty but can be a tad overwhelming after a couple of them.

I will be making the Meat Pie tomorrow! So im super excited for this. I will also update and post a picture of it as well!

Enjoy guys and i hope you it goes better for you than poor Nomi! (My husband told me if i burnt any of it my new nickname would be Nomi, Womp
Womp!)

Night number 2 - I made the Meat Pie. Sooo Amazing! After eating the pie crust (never made my own pie crust before, just always bought it) I will never buy another pie crust, It was soo good, Flaky and just had that homemade delicious taste to it!

Changes to mana bun dough required.
We cooked... tracker snacks, crunchy spider surprise, conjured mana buns, Zangar buttons, dirges kicking chimaerok chops and wild rice cakes tonight... not saying I'm a professional chef, but my sister is.. and shes made some changes to the mana buns as the recipe for the dough is terrible. She says you need to basically double the liquids. She's easily 800+ cooking irl.. also rice cakes are good with less flour, more cheese, another egg, and something saucy. Over all everything was great. Really fun time cooking with the family.

I really wanted to like this book
I got this as a present for my wife since she's an avid WoW player. We have made several of the recipes and when they work, they are really good. The recipes are basic and somewhat easy to follow (as it should be with a book aimed at gamers and not chefs). However, the book is riddled with mistakes. Here are just a few examples:
The cheddar-beer dip calls for a "low hop beer such as a pilsner". But a pilsner is made to be quite hoppy.
The chili is flat-out missing an ingredient.
The winterveil roast calls for baking a 3 lb top round roast at 400 degrees for an hour. Unless you like your steak REALLY well done then this is way too much.
The chocolate cookies don't mention when to add the cocoa.
The conjured mana buns call for way too much flour. Also, the ingredients listed for the glaze says heavy cream but the instructions say to add the milk. I don't know which one it's meant to be.
I'm sure there are more but we have only had the book a short while. I don't know how Blizzard can endorse such a shabby piece of work or how the editors could have missed all of this. Hopefully they'll fix it and maybe give people who bought it an updated copy.

Delicious and easy
Being an avid WoW fan for years I finally get to bring the world to life. I've been cooking these recipes like crazy and they are all delicious and simple for anyone. It's well organized with beautiful pictures and WoW references. It also includes dietary recommendations for vegetarians and gluten free as well as holiday feast ideas. There are some great flavor combos and spice recipes that I never thought of trying but taste awesome.

All of them have been wonderful! the instructions are easy to follow
So far I have tired three items from the cookbook. The rolls, the Blood Berry Tart, and the Tracker Snacks. All of them have been wonderful! the instructions are easy to follow, the ingredients are easy to obtain, and the pictures in the book are really nice too. The small bit of information about each dish, as if it was in the Warcraft world is a nice added touch. I look forward to making MUCH more from this cookbook!

Actually a good cook book.
When I first saw this I thought it was a joke that was being taken too far. As a Warcraft fan, I decided to pick it up kind of as a joke.

However... While the premise of this book is kind of silly, the actual content is not. The pages are beautifully laid out and very professional. The recipes are related to the game yet grounded in reality, being real dishes ranging from basic things anyone can cook to professional recipes that take time a effort to make properly. I was very surprised at how much effort and love went into making it, it's a solid cookbook by it's own right, as well as being an interesting topic for discussion, a cool novelty for fans of Warcraft, and I'd almost say it's a work of art.

If you are a Warcraft fan and like cooking, you really can't go wrong, It's a really neat book.

Honest Review
Honest review. This book is a novelty. The recipes are lackluster and were obviously thrown together with only a modicum of thought. Recipes are typically basic, only a handful of ingredients. IF the writer was trying to keep true to recipes concurrent with a country lacking resources then that would justify the absence of creativity. As an avid wow player since vanilla and one whom takes part in the culinary arts, I am not only disappointed in this sham of a recipe book but hang my head in shame that Blizzard has allowed for such trash to be branded as such.

everybody in the family absolutely loved dinner and we're looking forward to trying out the ...
Just got this two days ago and tried the first two dishes today. I've been playing the games for years and spent many hours leveling my cooking skills across my different characters in the MMO so I was heaps excited to see there was a cookbook on the market. For a change, everybody in the family absolutely loved dinner and we're looking forward to trying out the next lot.

The recipes are very easy to follow, although, being Australian, I have to avail myself of Google and scribble the appropriate measurements and temperatures into the recipes as we don't work in Fahrenheit, pounds and sticks of butter etc. I also found the recipes easy to adapt to individual tastes and/or cheaper products (like substituting chicken for turkey).

Obviously, the whole layout and the way the World of Warcraft is being integrated into the book is a treat in itself. I've got a lot of cookbooks, and many just sit on the shelf, gathering dust. This one, I'm sure, will not be one of them. Already have about half of what I need for the Savoury Deviate Delight. I'll be giving this a shot on Saturday or Sunday.

This is a horrible cookbook. I've tried several of the recipes now
This is a horrible cookbook. I've tried several of the recipes now. As a fan of cooking and wow I was really excited for this cookbook. Instead, it was an utter disappointment. There are several typos throughout. A few times it even left the quantity off the recipe. It skips steps at times. The quantities and ratios are way off sometimes, as well. Also, I'm an experienced cook but if you are inexperienced, this book does not do anything to teach you any techniques. It just assumes that you will "level up" to the more advanced recipes by making the simple recipes but these do nothing to teach you the techniques you're expected to use later. When you do find a recipe that has all the instructions and the proper ratio of ingredients it will be bland 9 times out of 10. Finally, I was expecting to see some creative and adventurous recipes or a new take on some old classics. Instead, it's just the same old and boring recipes but with wow-themed names. I understand the recipes can't follow the wow ingredient list since some of the ingredients only exist in game but that's no excuse not to apply some creativity or new twists. You're better off buying the Joy of Cooking, it'll have all the same recipes plus a lot more and actually teach you techniques. You'll just have to apply you're own wow-themed names.

Yes, I totally read a cookbook. Cover to cover. In one sitting.

Don't judge me.

I'm ridiculously obsessed with World of Warcraft, and I can't wait to eat everything in this book!

So I couldn't help myself when I saw that World of Warcraft was making a cookbook. I bought it and well it looks pretty and plenty of the recipes are recognisable from the book. however some have had their name changed due to the ingrediens and this made me a bit upset. If it is a WoW cookbook, keep it a WoW cookbook and dont make stuff up on the way. Why? We who buy it know this stuff from the game.

So is this a good cookbook? well if you like "normal" recipes that are made into looking and sounding like WoW then yes. some recipes where awesome and others where just strange. If you are new to cooking, dont bother. This book is not for you.

So why do I only give it 2 start (well I am 22 start actually)?
1, The recipes are for Americans, which means it is measured in cups and all temperatures in F. I can understand the cup things but it wouldn't be too much troubles speaking to the whole world by also adding C in temperatures.

2. INGREDIENS. Once again, Americans. I live in Europe, and I cant get my hands on a lot of the stuff that is supposed to be used, some I have never heard off and I love cooking. I can get my hand on some things but then I wouldn't have any money for bills that month. So if you live outside of US/Canada, you will find that you will have a hard time finding what you need. Most of the time I did use other things so I have no idea how the original would taste.

3. Measurements are not correct. I learned this pretty quickly, and thank good I am used to think while cooking because the measurements are way off in this one. Sometimes to much and sometimes to little.

I love World of Warcraft even if cooking is boring there. I love cooking IRL but I cant see myself using this book that much because there is nothing new and it has more flaws than I hoped. Maybe Nomi would burn slightly less food if he had access to this book. To bad I cant send him mine.

When the recipes are accurate, the food is great. However, the book has numerous errors including missing ingredients, messed up instructions, and incorrect amounts of ingredients.

Disappointed
Clearly written by someone who does not play the game, because some of the recipes were not in the game. The drinks are just for holidays, the measurements are off, and if you took off "World of Warcraft Official Cookbook" you would not not even know it was from Blizzard, just another cookbook in the baking isle. I ordered this book on Blizzard, wish I could get a refund. The author should be ashamed of herself for writing this dribble which was clearly a cash grab for her and Blizzard.

1 star because some of the recipies are missing instructions/not correct and the amount of ingredients is off

PURE HYPE BS
The ONLY people who would say this is a 'great' cookbook are people with vested interests in the selling and marketing of this cookbook. the only thing world of warcraft about these recipes are SOME of the names and they DO NOT reflect the actual gaming recipes in anyway shape or form. They are simply a bunch of HIGH PRICED day in, day out recipes you can get on line and slap a world of warcraft name to them.
ANYONE who has EVER played the game has better recipes they prepared themselves for gaming night based on the in-game master class.
THESE PEOPLE are opportunists at best. The entire lot of them should be ashamed of this SCAM. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!
Pure fraud!
if they really wanted to make a WoW cookbook they should have held a contest. We all have better and more accurate recipes than anything this book has to offer.

I bow to Chelsea Monroe-Cassel!
There are NO words to describe to how incredible this cookbook is! The amount of creativity and culinary talent one must have to put this together SO well is unimaginable, to me. I have always wanted to make many of the dishes and drinks in World of Warcraft, and apart from most of the ingredients themselves being fictional, there is no way I could have followed this closely to the recipes and the result still be edible. Far from just being edible, these dishes and beverages are PHENOMENAL! I even bought a cylindrical potion bottle and a silver chalice to make a couple of the drinks, because I got THAT into the "world" after using this cookbook. I'm getting her Shire Cookbook (inspired by Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit) next. And I of course plan to eventually have them; even the ones inspired by shows or movies that I either dislike or don't watch at all. Her recipes are THAT incredible. But the excitement you get from making these wonderful creations, that you have ALWAYS wanted to try, from shows/movies you love is akin to what you would feel from being dropped into these fantasy worlds themselves. This is finally all possible, thanks to the talented and adventurous mind of Chelsea Monroe-Cassel!

This is an odd one. It's not a good cookbook, but on the other hand, it's not the bad one. Same thing with World of Warcraft licensed product. Always in the middle, not good, not bad.

Do you think about those things when you think about food in a fictional video game? No, of course, no.

Cookbook part? Will I ever make something from it? Yes, like bread. But let's be honest, not like this cookbook will be a factor in it. That's just there. A recipe that you can find everywhere. And that's not the only one. But all that would be ok if this is not one of those cookbooks - those with pounds and oz. Sorry, but there is rest of the world that don't wanna us that metric, that will and use standard. How hard is it to put that numbers also?

Overall, it can be a nice thing to have on a shelf, as it has amazing photos of food. But no more than that. ...more

The recipes are a bit boring, very basic, and not as fun as I'd hoped. However, My significant other really liked it so that's a plus.

Fun cookbook, but not great recipes
I'll be honest, this cookbook is a bit disappointing. A lot of the recipes are either incredibly simple/basic or are pretty bland and tasteless (most, if not all of the bread-related recipes all tasted meh at best). It's still fun to have just as a Warcraft fan, seeing the different in-game recipes in real life is pretty cool. I just simply can't recommend this to anyone that actually is looking for good, tasty recipes.
