This is a fairly simple but well written explanation of glazes, their properties and possible problems. It does not get into some of the detailed analysis and explanations of some other glaze texts, but is a very good book for the beginner. The section on glaze faults and problems also lists possible solutions to attempt (which indeed may be too simplistic for the specific problem at hand, but makes an excellent place to start).
