Any quick check through my library will show I have a soft spot (many of them in fact) for concept artwork books be it films games in fact anything where the collected ideas and visions are captured.Sep 18, 2018
Destiny is a really beautiful video game. I never got to play the first one, but I watched my husband play it because he was going to be working on its sequel (for one of Bungie's support studios) and so I was very curious about it. And it was always very visually interesting, enough that someone only watching someone else play could become engrossed in it. (Don't worry, I built a PC so that we could both play the sequel together, so I got to experience the beauty in a more direct way.)Feb 19, 2018
I love video game art books - this one is terrific because of all the great development art that was included. I feel there was so much more that could've been included, but otherwise it's been a great addition to my collection.Dec 20, 2015
Gorgeous! Usually, I'll skim over the blurbs in art books or completely ignore walls of text I encounter, but The Art of Destiny doesn't weigh readers down with too much text. There are little things here and there, but only beginnings of sections will have as much as a paragraph or two. Clearly, the images are the main focus - and what beautiful images they are! All the designs, from character appearances to environments to weapons, are a treat for the eyes. There's no question that Bungie Gorgeous!
