In the same way that "The Indigo Children" was a phenomenon that
was much talked-about, before the book came out and explained it,
"Earth Angels" is a topic of much discussion among spiritually minded
people world-wide. Four years ago, Doreen Virtue wrote an article on the
topic, and then a chapter in her book, "Healing with the Angels," and
then more information in "Healing with the Fairies." Since that time,
Doreen has been flooded with letters from people who resonate with the
idea, requesting more information. "Earth Angels" will be the first book
devoted to the topic. Doreen will describe the five different types of
lightworkers: Incarnated Angels (those who had previous lives as angels,
but who are now here as humans); Incarnated Elementals (those whose
previous lives were in the elemental kingdom, as fairies, elves, etc.);
Starpeople (those who have lived the majority of their past lives on
other planets); Walk-In's (those who came from a high spiritual realm
and walked-in to another person's life, as that soul gladly exited their
body); and Reincarnated Sorcerers, Sorceresses, and Wizards (those
whose most recent past life was during Arthurian or Atlantian times,
when they practiced high magic). The book will include dozens of case
studies; a fascinating analysis of an extensive survey that Doreen has
conducted among people who identify with the five types of Earth Angels;
and guidance to help readers to feel happier about their lives, their
own idiosyncrasies, and their missions.

To read something like this you have to be pretty open minded. Even then it’s no guarantee that you’re going to go along with it. For instance I consider myself to be very open minded and my reaction soon in to it was "Ok then..." The book was reminiscent of the days when I smoked a lot of wacky tobacky and believed in aliens. Needless to say I don’t do that anymore and don’t believe in aliens either so I guess my scepticism didn’t help.

I believe that when an individual wants to pigeonhole humanity they can do it quite easily. In fact human beings do it all the time (eg; good people vs. bad people, nerds vs. jocks etc) and when it comes to pigeonholing people this woman has got it down pat. If you don’t fit into a realm no need to worry because you could be a walk in which means you fit into 3 realms and if that’s not the case then you might just be a dabbler. All bases covered. I would never recommend this for anyone who is impressionable, vulnerable or naïve to read because at some point everyone in their lives feel as if they don’t belong and at some point most of us feel different to the people around us, this is what this book addresses. Anyone vulnerable or naïve would be sucked in pretty easily.

Now as for positive feedback, I do have some. For the ones that believe in this sort of thing it’s set out rather easily to follow. It’s not like you’re being taught by a lecturer but by someone who knows how to deal with people. There is an index so you know which page to go to for which realm you are after and in each section there is a description of traits for that realm, life path and even employment. So a good little handbook for Earth Angels but not a book for anyone else. ...more

I had read Earth Angels a long time ago and I decided the time had come to re-read it. I found the whole book fascinating.
Not everyone is who you think they are. Earth Angels are everywhere and come from many different realms. Some of these realms find it more difficult to cope then others. And is it any wonder. I for one felt sorry for the Incarnated Angels and the Starpeople.
What all these people have in common is they are here to do a job. This job is important to them and also to the whole I had read Earth Angels a long time ago and I decided the time had come to re-read it. I found the whole book fascinating.

What all these people have in common is they are here to do a job. This job is important to them and also to the whole world. They should be applauded for what they want to do.
To me this is an important book that people should read. It would open their eyes to these people, what they go through and what they do.
I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to know more about the different realms. I would also suggest that anyone who felt out of place reads it as they may discover they belong to one of the realms. ...more

Doreen Virtue's simple question 'Are You An Earth Angel?' intrigued me into buying this booklet ... and I was not disappointed. It explains what Earth Angels are and, apparently, there are different types, too. Even a quiz to figure out into which category you fall is included as well as an explanation if you are not sure about the results or appear to fit into more than one category. Neat!

The writing is straight forward and easy to understand, with an additional list of resources attached as is often the case with these types of booklets. The author has also included a 'gentle' foreword and several pages at the back are left blank for personal notes.
This is definitely a different view of things and something I have not come across before, nonetheless, a very interesting and intriguing read indeed. ...more

I felt very much led to read this book because my Reiki master has trained as a card reader with Doreen Virtue. I was scrolling through her titles and just thought, "that one."

I'm glad I did. This is a book that examines human behavior among what many people would call "the outcasts," of whom I have often numbered myself. I found out things about myself in this book that explained why I felt like I didn't really belong in my family of origin, for example -- and that this is a far more common I felt very much led to read this book because my Reiki master has trained as a card reader with Doreen Virtue. I spent much of this book a bit confused, wondering why I could relate to so much from so many of the realms but couldn't find one that fit 100% when so many of the people interviewed knew their realm without a doubt. Then once I got to the end and read about the "dabblers," I was like, aah! Of course. I'm not one to fit into any kind of category, I knew that. Sometimes you want AN ANSWER. AN EXPLANATION. A PLACE TO BELONG. But I'm all over the place. I relate A LOT to the wise ones. Essentially this is a short hand overview of otherkin ideology. Not a bad book if you are within the community; but if you aren’t it’ll leave you a little baffled. The book isn’t so old that the mention of the community should have just been overlooked either, so I wonder about that.

Oddly sweet or sweetly odd; we all want to be special, heroes in our own lives, but it is unlikely that we are all THIS special. While I don't fit here, I sure could think of a lot of women who did- and they are all librarians, countless wonderful "Earth Angel" librarians- and Virtue missed the boat not calling out that fabulous professional.

My therapist recommended that I read this because she thought that I would recognize myself in it, and she was right! The description of an Incarnated Angel fit me perfectly. It really freaked me out! If you have ever had the feeling that you don't really belong in this world, you should check this out.

This book was recommended by a friend in a discussion about assertiveness and boundary setting. While simply written and somewhat repetitive, I appreciated the clear lessons. I read it straight through on a red eye flight, returning from a week of back to nature experiences, and this timing was perfectly aligned with situations calling for stronger boundaries in my own life.

Inspiring

This book is so helpful and informative. Not to long do you can read the info fast, and jump ahead of need be. It's a blessing to better understand your purpose once you know your " Soul Group/Tribe". You can stop wasting time trying to figure that out and get to work on what we signed up to do! Spoken like a true Wise One/ Star Person :)

I have read loads of this type of book (everything from Atlantis on through exobiology and onto ghosts and other paranormal phenomena.) This is just like loads of other books on the same subject, and has the same problems. It's how one person sees things personally which doesn't automatically means that's the way things actually are.

First, there is no way to prove any of this at all. Thus, there is no way to know if what is being written is true or not. First, there is no way to prove any of this at all. Thus, there is no way to know if what is being written is true or not. The author makes references to people being extraterrestrial from the Pleiades, Sirius, Andromeda, etc. Again, no way to check any of this out, at least not with the stage our astronomy is in now.

She never mentions how many people are these Earth Angels, nor how successful any of them have been in helping the Earth. She mentions that Earth is under an ET quarantine which is not a new idea at all.

She also mentions how some people have been unicorns, mermaids, etc. Again, there is no actual evidence that any such things have ever existed on this planet.

As far as other civilizations in space goes, she says that most of them are androgynous and they do not give birth like humans. Instead, all their children are from test tubes and are not implanted into a mother. Sounds like scary sci-fi to me, or even right along the lines of the dreams of Adolph Hitler.

So, you either take this book with faith, or with a whole lot of salt. Maybe a mountain's worth. ...more

No doubt, this is a fun read. If you believe in such things, it is nice to read the descriptions of all the things that have bugged you about yourself, or made you different, and come to realize it's because you're an angel incarnate! I really can't remember if she does, since I read it so long ago. Still, I know it is intended for "lightworkers" or metaphysical healers so, people who use this system are generally good-intentioned. This book would be good for pagans, new-age believers, witches, etc but, I currently prefer the enneagram. ...more

This is worth reading for those who feel different and suspect that they may be here for a deeper purpose than most of humanity or are interested in the other types of incarnated beings more spiritually advanced than most of Earth's population. If you're open to this idea or feel 'different' yourself, then read this. It doesn't give very in depth information but it does touch on the important points of each type of 'Earth Angel'. Definitely worth having in the new age spiritualist's collection.

Nice little book. I have her fairy cards and enjoy them regularly. This gave me some good insight. I like Doreen Virtue. Get it from the library.

This book doesn't imply that everyone fits into one of the categories she presents...read for yourself and if you're open to it, you're open to it...it's your choice.
