This book ROCKS! My son has always been freaked out by outer space. If I said,"Wow, look at that moon tonight!", he would say "MOMMY! Don't say that!!!" and hide his head. Not really sure why. Maybe it was all just too dark and vast for the poor little guy. So I was really surprised when he brought this book home from school. He said he asked his teacher if he could take it home for a night because it was just so cool. And it sure was! It was really clever and interesting and engaging. He sat on This book ROCKS! This book just contains general information and interesting facts about the solar system and how it works. I found this book interesting because it presented the facts in a fun way. I would use this book to read bit by bit if I had a unit on space to show kids how wonderful and big space is.
