This book included a lot of the methodology "stuff" that was included in all my coursework and what I really wanted was a book about the process of writing a dissertation from start to finish rather than things like how to choose statistical analysis methods, etc.

I read through this book several times during my capstone course as I conducted research on the ineffectiveness of juvenile detention. Great book!

I started reviewing this book when I began the research and writing for my dissertation paper, which I am still writing. Interestingly enough, I am still reviewing the book because I have found after all this time I keep going back into it and finding new pieces of documentation I had skimmed over or may have missed while seeking for something else.

In a way, each time I open the book it is like Christmas time and finding something new which is fantastic so it is always a new learning progress I started reviewing this book when I began the research and writing for my dissertation paper, which I am still writing. Interestingly enough, I am still reviewing the book because I have found after all this time I keep going back into it and finding new pieces of documentation I had skimmed over or may have missed while seeking for something else.

In a way, each time I open the book it is like Christmas time and finding something new which is fantastic so it is always a new learning progress taking place which I think is fantastic! The author and publisher has done great at putting this book together so it is very easy to locate what is needed because it takes no time to locate information when using the index or reference pages.

I am very impressed with this book and would surely recommend any post graduate student that is about to undertake their dissertation or begin a thesis to highly purchase a brand new copy for themselves. Oh, and it is also quite helpful to use a highlighter if you like to make things stand out and be at attention so they can be found faster.

When I am ready to finish my dissertation I know this book will help me complete it so I am very proud and happy to have purchased an edition copy during my PhD studies a few years ago. It will come in handy when I continue them. ...more
