Rather than discuss how this is like or different from the various movie, I will discuss only how I feel about it as an adult coloring book.

This is the perfect book for Disney fans who love the princesses. I grew up with the movies on the big screen and have watched them on television with both my children and grandchildren. It is wonderful to have the experience of an adult coloring book filled with iconic images that are so familiar. While the book has a few issues (which I will detail below), I am still very pleased with it overall and look forward to more from Disney in the future. There are many heroines in the book and I was able to find my favorites in a number off designs.

The book has a nice heavyweight cardboard cover (front and back) which makes for a great solid surface to color on. The designs are printed on both sides of the page and the paper is not perforated. The binding is sewn rather than glued, so removing it takes only a few snips with a small scissor on a few pages.

There are 25 designs which span across 2 pages. All but 1 of these are wallpaper designs of repeating images or mirror imagine mandala-type designs. Only 1 is a large image and that one is in the center of the book and can be removed whole or worked as the imagine is all there and not somehow lost in the binding. There are an additional 73 designs which are 1 page designs. Of those, 36 are repeating wallpaper pattern designs. There are a number of designs which are pretty but I cannot figure out how they relate to Disney Princesses. There are still plenty that have either a Princess on them or have other elements (such as Cinderella's coach) that relates to one of the movies.

All of my markers bleed-through on this paper thought my Staedler triplus fineliners fared the best with more of a shadow image on the back of the page. I could still identify the color, so it merely bled less than the others. My gel pens worked fine and my coloring pencils worked fantastic – very smooth and creamy on this paper.

Highly recommend.
The book itself is beautiful. Nice and hardback. The pages are also very beautiful with lots of designs simple and intricate. I've included lots of photos.

Amazing book!
So my biggest thing wth buying a coloring book online is at least being able to see some of the pictures inside. So I'm making sure with each book I've bought to review and post a few pictures online for others to be able to see if they want the book or not.... I personally really like this Disney princess book! I love that it's cardboard. I don't know why I just feel like it's easier to color on. I definitely recommend this book to anyone!!

a big let down
being a huge fan of Disney i was so so disappointed in this book, very few pictures of the characters, mostly doodles and mandelas that do not even include any Disney things and then the black background pages , there is so much black and the figures are so tiny that you cna color, its nto worth it, as i got this at a reduced price, i am not bothering to return it, but i am highly disappointed. i hope when the new Disney book comes out in a few months that it is more of the characters and less of the doodles. on a good point, the cover , listed as hardback, is insanely think, about 3/8 of an inch, which makes for a portable table to color on, and the quality of the paper is very good.

I love Disney and I also love to color

It's a beautiful book with a hardback cover perfect for collectors. The pages are not thin, and are very nice as well. There are a lot of black on white as well as white on black pages (which I like more because I feel the colors pop even more on those ones with the black backgrounds).

Features a bunch of the princesses. They focused on the more popular ones like Belle, Tiana, Cinderella, Merida, Jasmine, Ariel, and Rapunzel, and Mulan. There might be one of Snow White or Sleeping Beauty, but no Pocahontas at all.

There's a two page spread of a "scene" and it's the only one like that. The rest of the pages are of the princesses, mandalas, and various patterns.

The artwork is pretty but half the images are mandala-type designs and repetitive reprints. No one here is looking forward to coloring a half-inch candalabra 50 times on the same page. I was expecting more princess images in their respective settings. At least the pages may be thick enough for water color. I will keep the book anyway because I like the front hardcover. The bound is not a solid piece. The back and front covers are glued to heavy gauge paper. I’ve never seen a book like this. You can take a scissor and cut the covers off very easily.

Disappointing....
Lovely pictures of the princesses & good variety (Snow White, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Mulan, Ariel, Merida, Tiana, Jasmine) but only 1/4 of the 100 pages are colorable & non patterned. of them (out of 100 pages). The rest are the patterned pages you can see in the other posted pics. I shouldn't have wasted my money, I expected more considering 100 pages.

Random opinions: not a fan of the hardcover. I like how sturdy it is if I'm not using a hard surface BUT cannot color along the spine easily or tear out pages intact if needed. My daughter likes to color with me & likes the pages torn out. I also wondered why the following pages were necessary - again just my opinion!!

Great book but need more mulan and Pocahontas.
Love the pictures and the page quality. I already had the animals and the villains one and loved them so I went ahead and got this one along with the moana and frozen one. I love that they are a hardback book and the way the spine is so you can really color without breaking the spine down. The only thing I don't like about it has to do with this book specifically which is they only have two pages of mulan, one portrait and one smaller picture one with Shang and only one page of Pocahontas that's just her silhouette very time a few pages. It'd be one thing if there wasn't much space but there is 100 images and about every 5th page or so was this circle image with a guilded like floral design on it which makes me wonder if they were so pressed to get some more images why they didn't put a little more Pocahontas and mulan in there to balance out all the Snow White and Cinderella. I posted the only pages with mulan and Pocahontas out of the entire book. 3/100 pages is really just sad.

Need more princesses less filler.
I initially purchased this coloring book so I could have could have coloring time with my 3 year old niece (in her own princess book of course.) I am very happy with this beautiful book...

First i will start with the cons (which are very few):

* the binding on the outside cover was a bit banged up , it was minimal, i honestly didn't even notice it the first time i flipped through the book.
* the design motifs are a bit monotonous. I knew upon purchasing it that there were pages that didn't technically feature any of the princesses, but hinted instead. But after flipping through the "filler pages" seem to be close in design.

Not a pro or con ( didn't really change my review rating of the book

* I was expecting a more diverse variety of the ladies. There are quite a few pictures of Ariel, Belle and Cinderella ( not that, that is necessarily a bad thing!)
* the pages are not perforated, which does not bother me personally, but i know it is a deal breaker for some.

Pros ( save the best for last right??)
the quality of this coloring book is super impressive. Heavy cardboard covers with
thick double-sided pages (which i don't mind because i use pencils) and solid lines. (I have some coloring books where the line work almost seemed faded.)
* even though i use pencils i would assume that you could use all types of coloring tools.(i probably wouldn't recommend sharpies though.)
* and the main reason i gave 4 stars were the pictures inside, even though there are quite a few filler pages. I still find all of the pages to be beautiful. The filler pages are calming, therapeutic, and relaxing. The remaining pictures represent classic princess from snow white, to the independent new age princesses like Merida. They show classic silhouettes, characters from their specific movies. Small snippets of scenes from the movies. Etc.

All in all I give this book 4 stars because it reminds me of my childhood. The characters and supporting characters honestly brought a smile to my face. IF there were more coloring pages and less fillers my review would have 5 stars. I will enjoy this book even after I have finished coloring it!

The villains version is way better. Is this even from the same company
There could have actually been princesses in this book. The villains version is way better. Is this even from the same company? ” Far and few in between “ is what it should have been titled. I was given pages of wallpaper and itty bitty princesses in the corner. I was sad. But I forgot. We’re glorifying evil instead of good nowadays. It’s all turned around.

Don't waste your money on this book
Don't waste your time with this book. Has maybe 20 actual pictures of the Princesses...the rest is crap. A bunch of repeat patterns some mandalas. I won't order another Disney book which is tragic because I love Disney.

Great for any Disney Princess lover. Bought this for my friend who is using adult coloring to relieve stress. She loved it and the thickness/quality of the pages were a nice surprise.

I have greatly enjoyed coloring this book. I would definitely recommend using pens for most of the pictures, crayons are just not going to work with this one. There are lots of extremely small details on the wallpapers (mostly snowflakes) that require a fine point.

I do have to say that I was disappointed by the fact that there was so many "wallpaper" pictures rather than actual character drawings which is what I would have liked to see more of.

I love love love this book! Except for one thing...the cover is a hard cover which I was so excited about when I purchased the book, but now it's separating and coming apart, despite the great care with which I take for my coloring books. :( I want to buy the villains book as well...but I don't want to spend so much if the covers are all going to do the same thing.

Lovely coloring book, and easy to color. Very sharp and nice artwork to color. I just wish that there were different types of characters , in the Princess selection. Also just different pages, and not as many repeats. Still very nice and relaxing to work with.

I absolutely love this coloring book. The images are fun to do, the pages are nice and thick so you can use markers or pencils or whatever you want to. Lots of stress relief can be found within the covers.

it is a beautiful book but paper quality and binding needs work
it is a beautiful book finally started coloring in it even though I got it in may but since the images are double sided they can get dented on the backside if you press too hard with pencil and you have to use fine gel pens for the finer areas and regular gel pens for the not so fine areas otherwise you get dents but I'm sure once the pictures are colored on both sides they will not be noticeable I tested my water based markers on the title page with a blotter and they did not bleed through at all so nice to know I can use marker, gel pen or pencil because of the paper quality I have the other disney books in this series as well which have similar paper the sad thing about this book is that the first few pages started coming out of the binding after coloring the first few pages and the top cover started falling off after I colored the first page so it looks very sturdy but isn't hope I don't have this problem with their other books could of just been a bad batch

Misleading- Not A Lot Of Pictures Of The Actual Princesses!
It's just not what I was expecting from a Disney Princess coloring book. It is mostly just patterns and mandala style drawings. Very few images of the actual princesses and scenes. It says 100 images and maybe 10 are pictures of the princesses. The rest is wasted with just patterns, and quite a few of those pattern pages dont really have anything to do with the princesses. I've had better luck with Disney Princess coloring books for kids. Lots more images of the actual princesses to color. It was good quality and nicely put together, just wasnt impressed by the images. Call me crazy, but in a Disney princess coloring book, I want to color full images and scenes of the princesses.
My suggestion, get Disney princess coloring books meant for kids. Lots better scenes. Even the adult Disney Animals coloring book has a few images of the princesses that are a lot better than the ones in this particular book. Returning for a refund.
