Amazing photos of hummingbirds and tons of interesting tidbits on these birds. If you love hummingbirds, you will love this book. I learned that hummingbirds flap their wings 80 times per second. Their heartbeats can reach up to 1200 beats per minute when they are chasing rivals. They are territorial and they migrate during the fall. Short on words but no shortage of great photos, this book was a quick read and most of the details about hummingbirds, I'd already learned and truthfully, I would have liked a bit more text, but the amazing pictures made it a worthwhile book to check out from the library. I never get tired of hummingbird photos.
