Very helpful for people who wanted to know more about this diet!!
My toddler was completely out of control! He was mean, hyper and never slept! I was introduced to this diet by someone off a Biomed group on facebook. I literally had tried everything else and being a single, working mother of 3, I just could not handle going through the battles everyday! So I decided to give it a try! I downloaded this book, got recipes off pinterest and then my friend became a feingold member and gave me the stuff I needed to start! It wasn't easy, but man was it worth it! This book helped me so much at the beginning of our journey! I would recommend it for anyone who has a child with ADHD, Autism, Behavioral or even problems in school! So far its just my youngest on the diet, but with so much improvements from him, (plus it will make it easier) we are all going to change to this diet! Seriously, this book helped me when I was skeptical! I now know my son is happy, and we all have our life back! He still has his moments, but within 2 days, we all saw a significant change in him!

A must read if your child has behavior problems
Great book for those considering natural alternatives to help their children with behavior problems. Although I was already keeping food dyes and some preservatives out of my daughters diet, this book opened my eyes to other ingredients that can trigger behavioral problems. My daughter does so much better and is so much more pleasant to be around when I'm watching her diet and keeping it as close to natural as possible. When she has food dyes and preservatives she whines, throws temper tantrums, is hard to ration with, wakes up multiple times each night and has night terrors. When she eats healthy, natural foods, most of those issues disappear. She only whines a little when she is tired, but she is 4 and that is completely normal.

My sister in law's son has ADHD and behavioral issues very similar to my daughters, but he has been put on medication after medication. First to deal with the ADHD, then to deal with the many side effects that the ADHD medication caused. It's like a terrible ripple effect and unfortunately he still has behavioral issues along with many other issues now. My sister in law took away the dyes for a week and said she was noticing a difference but then went back to giving him any and everything. I wish she would have put in more effort and time to really give it a chance.

I know how hard it is keeping your child on an all natural diet in America with all the popular kids items being loaded with unnatural ingredients. I know how hard it is to have people look at you like your crazy for checking every ingredient on grocery items, for not letting your child have a piece of the birthday cake with the bright blue icing at a friends party, for having to bring your own all natural sprinkles and icing for cookie decorating day at school. But it's all worth it when at the end of the day I know that those people don't know the struggle that we have had, and that because of those diet changes my house is now a practically stress-free zone and the days of frustration and endless worry of my daughters future are behind me.

excellent resource in our Feingold journey
This book has been a tremendous resource in our goal to be a Feingold family. I actually bought this book first and then based on what I read decided to purchase the Feingold membership as well. I plan on referencing Sheri's book often and her recipes and also her blog has TONS of information. My son has sensory processing issues. He would become overwhelmed if even the radio was on low while riding in the car. 5 days after starting the diet we were able to jam out to some of our favorite songs the whole ride home. Sheri has lived this diet for years and she has so much experience . Thank you !

Good information but loaded with her conservatively religious and heteronormative views. Made it difficult for me to recommend the book to a family in need in a two-mother household.

Cure the Root Cause of ADD with good nutrition.
This book is so informative. I had no idea that dyes, additives and preservatives were carcinogenic and caused some ADD symptoms. I didn't even know what salicylates were, or that they had the same negative impact as dyes, which are derived from them. Her testimonials were encouraging and gave me a ray of hope for my son because he hates taking his Ritalin due to all the side effects, and now I can give him foods that can eliminate the ADD symptoms. Even if he has to continue the Ritalin, this way of eating can only make the meds work more effectively. I am hoping that I can eventually take him off the Ritalin though, because it stunts his growth, gives him a stomach and headache, and takes away his appetite all day long so that he can't even eat breakfast or lunch. I highly recommend this book because I have already seen positive results in my son's conduct from eliminating many of these foods 3 weeks ago when I began a vegan diet, so I realize that there is a direct correlation between what he ate and his behavior. I have observed that because proper nutrition doesn't just put a band aid on the symptoms like meds do, it cures the root cause. That's what led me on a search for natural cures for ADD and I ran into this book! I had heard of the Finegold diet earlier but dismissed it and took the easy way out with Ritalin. But now, because of its negative side effects, I am willing to give Finegold a go, and this book is helping me do just that, in an easy to follow format.

For Jenny McCarthy and Michelle Duggar Fans
The first thing I saw when I opened it was her recommending books by Jenny McCarthy and Michelle Duggar, mothers of the year. This author apparrently has no medical, scientific, background whatsoever, I doubt she even finished college as every other paragraph has an exclamation point in it and the writing is just bad ("the program 100% is really the only way you are going to see the results you are looking for!") People who are anti-vaccine and think fluoride is a Communist plot will love it. I am returning it and incensed that anyone would push this garbage on desperate parents.

truly a life changer
I was not ready to commit to feingold diet membership. Then I read this book! Really explained the diet and made it seem doable and necessary
for our family. My four year
old has now been on diet for 9months and we will never go off the diet again! We had to mAke some further changes beyond, but without the Feingold 'roadmap' I'd be lost. Thank you for writing this ebook--it really helped us understand this diet. It was a change in the beginning but now it is super easy! Thank you for sharing your experience and enthusiasm! My whole family eats this way now and I feel so weird when I eat away from diet!

This book is extremely basic in nature if you have done any kind of researching on the internet already you will know what is in this book I bought it mostly for the recipes and was very disappointed to find only a handful at the very end which were not that impressive also the recipes include store-bought packaged items such as Fritos which I am totally confused by

Highly Recommend
I was unsure of whether to invest in the Feingold Diet. I didnt want to put my child on meds, and was convinced the behavior was my fault. Reading this book assured me that Im not the only one who felt this way and my child is not the only one who struggles with these issues. Most importantly, I realized that I am not a bad mom and I dont have a bad kid. I decided to give Feingold a shot. And that has completely transformed our lives for the better. I love the honesty of Sheri in her book. She gives a completely realistic view of life on Feingold. There are tips to get through the tough stuff with reassurance that it is worth it to get to the good stuff. I highly recommend this book to anyone dealing with behavior problems and considering diet changes to help remedy them. Thank you, Sheri!!

So thankful I found this book!
So glad I purchased this book! We have finally figured out my daughter has major behavioral reactions to synthetic food dyes. This author really cuts through a lot of the information out there (which is overwhelming when you first start this journey) and makes things easy to understand, especially as a mom herself that has been down this road. Thankful to be armed with this info so I can make better decisions for my family going forward.

Helpful Information and Guide
We are rebooting the Feingold Diet in our home and this book is helping us to get back into the swing of things. Even though we did the Feingold Diet for 2 years previously, there is information on salicylates in this book that I never knew (and wish I had on the first go), along with other useful tips and suggestions. Overall, Davis does a great job of putting it all into a healthy, grounded perspective that is extremely helpful.

A must for any parent looking to change their child's behavior naturally!
Thank you for all of the information you have provided me with over the past year or so. I am forever grateful to you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with me and my family, Sheri Davis. Your blog was one of the first resources I found when I began researching alternate methods of helping my son's ADHD type symptoms. Your information was also where I first learned of the Feingold Diet, which has been a great help to our family. Reading your book changing my outlook and son's life for the better. I found it be very helpful in breaking down the concepts of the diet. I used those principles in the months leading up to my purchasing the full program. Just removing the artificial dyes, flavorings and preservatives that were labeled and limiting salicylates was a huge improvement from where we started out. I suggest your book to anyone interested in starting the diet or helping their child improve through diet. Again, thank you!

Great information and easy to read!
I had already purchased the Feingold diet and have seen results for my 4 year old daughter when I read this book. This book gave me so much more great info about the diet that I had already bought into. Sheri Davis writes the book like she is a friend telling you about her success with the diet. It was very interesting reading for anyone looking to improve their family's diet. It also put into words the information I was trying to tell my family and friends in a very concise way.
I posted this book on Facebook so that my friends and family can also get this information. I had several family members call afterwards to find out about this special diet. They also want to read it. Thank you for writing this book!

This book was helpful for me in that they're personal ...
This book was helpful for me in that they're personal story with the behavioral issues their son had was very closely aligned with my own son's struggles and gives me hope that this diet will help. However, the information on the diet itself is sort of lacking... I was hoping to have more info on particular fruits and veggies to avoid on stage 1 and 2. It has convinced me to buy the membership.

Not much meat in the book
Interesting to read but I guess I wanted more feingold specific info which needs to be purchased. She does have a great pinterest page that I followed. Good for what it is.

Book still recommends purchasing the yearly Feingold membership.
I was lead to believe (via a FB post with a link to this book) that by purchasing the kindle version for $2.99, I wouldn't have to pay to join Feingold. If that's what you want, just join Feingold. The book is fine, but you're still encouraged to she'll out the dough for a Feingold membership. Credit to the author, I don't think she posted the FB post (saw it on one of my groups). I'm past the point of needing all the whys answered. That said, while I don't need the book, the $2.99 is a reasonable cost for anyone who isn't already knowledgeable about the subject.

Informative but a bit repeatetive
It is very informative with lots of references. It is a bit wordy and repeatetive for me. I expected to see a little more in fruit and veggies which are permitted on stage one and two. However, I understand it might not be possible. Anyway, we would like to give it a try as we have huge problem with hyperactivity.

Great advice.
This is what I needed to get me started with the feingold program and eating healthier. Two of my four children so far lack attention, struggle keeping rules and following instructions. My son is always itchy, has had hives and other ADHD symptoms. I've always felt the food is a huge factor in my kids behavior, even my own, but have always been skeptical about changing our lifestyle. This book helped me get courage and understand that it's doable. It also helped me get into more research of other diets I didn't even know existed that Sheri mentioned in the book. I loved how easy the book is to read. It answered lots of questions. I felt understood because of Sheri's experience. I love the recipes in the end. I gave it to my sister to help out with her kids who show ADHD symptoms. I totally recommend it!
